iTunes has some good features and it is easy to use but the library of movies and shows available is really pretty lame. I know that they are adding to it all the time but it is still pretty thin.

I think what the future holds is that all hard and soft goods that one wants to purchase, including food will be only available through Wal Mart or rebranded Wal Mart boutique brand stores.
Then all media from music, movies, print, Internet will all be controlled by Apple. I can foresee a time in the near future where Apple is the kind of all content and delivery of content.
I can see them becoming to the content industry what Microsoft Windows was to the Desktop PC Industry.
I think, although Apple is thin now, they seem to have the ear of the public and the perception that they are the one stop shop for all things media.
